  BA Summer Fun-run Aug 24-27
Well, its time to start planning for our 3rd annual run this year. After deliberating with a few other past attendees, we have decide to go back and run the Dusy Ershim trail again this year. The dates for now are set from August 24-27, 2006. This should be another amazing trip!





Again, this is not an "organized" run, which means that there are no entry fees, no tech inspections, no B.S.! All rigs are welcome no matter what you drive as long as you are built enough to handle the trail. 33s and at least one locker are a must.

Last years run was our biggest yet with five Early Broncos and three Jeeps. Unfortunately, my rig did not make the trip last year, but I was able to ride bitch in Mike's CJ7 for the trip and take a ton of pics. This year will be another big question mark as to whether or not a rig of mine will be there. Especially considering I parted my rig out recently. So, I'm leaning towards riding bitch again this time.

The plan for the trip is as follows:
Wednesday will be a travel day to get into the general area of the trail. That means we will be meeting in Shaver Lake. A good place to camp is at Edison Campground. The have shows and spots just big enough for the tow rigs. We will hit the trailhead on Thursday morning and will not be returning back to the starting point until Sunday morning, so you will need to make arrangements to find a place to park your tow rig if needed. I believe that the marina allows you to park your rig their for a nominal fee.

This is not a "return to camp each evening" type of run. You will be packing everything in and out as you will be camping along the trail. We will decide in the near future which direction we are going to run the trail, and I will add more info to this itinerary as we get closer to the departure date.
