BA Summer Fun-run Aug 24-27
Well, its time to start planning for our 3rd annual run this year. After deliberating with a few other past attendees, we have decide to go back and run the Dusy Ershim trail again this year. The dates for now are set from August 24-27, 2006. This should be another amazing trip!

2006 Broncoholics run??? Need your vote!
Where would you like to go this year. The Rubicon or Dusy Ershim Trails are again the likely canidate. I am leaning towards the Con' this year since I may have a bigger(wider) rig by then. And, the Con' seems to be more accessible to the larger vehicles than the Dusy is. Anyway, I would like to see what you guys want to run this year and when. Normally we try to get out towards the last week of August. So, vote for which trail and when you want to go.

2005 Broncoholics Trip write-up (Dusy Ershim)
You know, its going to be really damn hard to put into words just how amazing this trip was for those that attended, but I'll do my best.
Last year the 1st ever Broncoholics.com trip was done over the Rubicon trail. It consisted of three Broncos and two Jeeps. It was a great time, and was definitely something to build on. At that point I decided that instead of running the Rubicon annually, I would do something different. I figured that I would trade trails each year so we could keep things interesting by running trails all over the west coast. This will be the future theme as well for all of our annual trips. This year's trip was the Dusy Ershim trail in central California.

***First Look*** Bolt in PRP seats for your EB!
So, you'd love to be able to get some full suspension seats for your Early Bronco? But.......you lack the bender, welder, and fab skills to build some custom mounts to tie them into your cage or floor.
Well, PRP and American Bronco have come to the rescue and have your answer!
Cutting your rockers
As the build up process of your early Bronco progresses, a lot of people try to gain ground clearance in as many ways as possible. One of those ways is to cut your rockers. This gives at least another 3.5" of ground clearance and really adds a ton of strength to a very weak area of the Bronco. Even with my 1/4" rock skis, I was able to crease the rocker above the skis. So, I decided to come up with a rocker setup that adds an amazing amount of strength to the chassis and gives me something that I can pivot on in the rocks if needed. Here is the install.

Pricing a Bronco
Pricing a Bronco: written by Tom Green(SoCal Tom) People often ask me ?What?s my Bronco worth?? I?m sure we?ve all been asked this a lot, I finally came up with a method for pricing what an EB is worth. I?m sure some will disagree, but this is what I?ve come up with.
Shock Mounting 101
Tips for Mounting Shocks on an Early Bronco.
Upgrading a Ford 302 to SEFI
Ever find your factory 302 a little on weak side? Ever wish that you had fuel injection to help you get through those nasty off-camber or hill climb sections? Have a tired 302 and just want something with a little more power? Well here you go.
H4 headlight upgrade
Well, I finally got around to installing my new H4 headlights. I decided on a cheap set that a local shop sells for VW Baja racing. They are 55/60w blue bulbs with the light housing. I went with these as somwhat of a trial and error since I didn't want to have to drop $125/ea for a high end set if I decided to go with more wattage on the 2nd run. So, I opted for these.

What a great time we had. It got cut a little short by a very unexpected five hour downpour on Sunday Morning, but it was a still a great trip with great wheeling. CHeck it out

I've heard nothing but good things about the Wild Horses power brake kit:

Hammers trip write-up
Just got back this morning. Successful trip and a lot of fun. Feel much more comfortable about my EB out there now. Took a couple minor dings and dents, but nothing too bad. Brake my front driveshaft near the top of Sledge last night and had to winch/strap out to the sand hill. Check it out:
Ultimate power steering upgrade
When I bought my Bronco, it came with the James Duff "Ultimate" power steering kit on it. Well, after 18mo of constant problems that included two broken steering boxes, a recent power steering pump failure, and unbelievably darty and dangerous handling characteristics it was time for a change. So, for those of you with mild fabrication skills who want a much stronger setup than almost all of the "upgrade" kits on the market, this is the one.
Tranny Cooler
Got my new remote tranny cooler with fan installed this past weekend. I mounted it on the passenger fender well. But before I could do this I had moved everything that was mounted there. I moved the ignition box and two new weather proof fuse blocks above the fire wall where the heater intake used to be. Since I no longer have a heater, this made a great place to mount these items. Check it out.
